slalom skating - 20:41 18 Aug 10 hey everyone,just new to this site,stumbled across it whilst browsing skating websites on google.

Just wondering where people practise slalom skating in the area,i work in ask vale (army barracks) during the week and live in eastbourne at the weekends,just recently got into slalom,practising basic tricks at the mo in eastbourne whilst on leave.

Just interested in seeing what the slalom scene is like in the area,also do a bit of recreational skating,thinking of getting into speed skating sometime soon so i can compete in an inline marathon next year.

There are only abnot 4 or 5 of us who regularly slalom, I've been trying to get more practice in locally lately and there are a few options:

Indoors:
Saturdays in Camberley Arena Leisure Centre
theres a 1.5Hr indoor session where there is usually space to put cones down.
Or
Tuesday in Sandhurst (autumn/winter) sessions are due to start in a few weeks, I believe where we also do a bit of slalom practice.

Outdoors:
I practice at a spot on the IQ business park in Farnborough, some weekdays or weekends and some times managing to convince others to join! Always on the lookout for suitable locations.

Welcome to the forum!
As mansfield has already mentioned there are a few of us that play around with skating around (and into!) cones!!! There are a few places we sometimes meet up and usually post here so come and join us sometime!
Once the winter sessions start at Sandhurst we usually set up cones for some fun before playing basketball!

Re:slalom skating - 01:50 21 Aug 10 hey guys,cheers for the responses,yea i have met tim from sk8 school and nick from the ESA from down here in eastbourne,quite a good community of skaters in these neck of the woods.

Really glad i stumbled upon this website/forum cos i didnt know what i was gonna do during the week when i am back to work.

Well hope to catch up with you guys soon and also skate into but hopefully more around some cones and whatever other skating type activities!
