Re:Speedskating for dummies... - 17:18 24 Aug 10 Would love to know how you got on with the sizing for these as you can't try them on first. In Vauxhall for the roller disco. Impressive setup. Now it's time to get my groove on - Twitter Status

Re:Speedskating for dummies... - 20:38 26 Aug 10 yeah, I had some issues. What I will say is I left some mm's spare so they wouldn't be too small and they very almost are. walk on the side of caution. as it turned out they fit 100% perfectly, the first few times I wore them I didn't bother with laces as they hugged my feet. another 2mm smaller and they wouldn't fit. I haven't heat molded them yet either, my oven in the US doesn't go down low enough, but I'm back in the UK in two weeks anyway so will be doing that then.

THe only half decent (in length) skate I've taken them on so far I got less than 5-10 miles before the police stopped me. but the feedback so far would be:

- VERY comfortable (although after longer distance skates I may rescind this commend)
- very fast, I went out with two cyclists and (although they weren't in good shape) I really left them behind

I'll have more feedback once I've been able to skate on them a bit more.... in a couple of weeks anyone want to go skating? I'm back on sept 7th and have about two and a half weeks before lectures start...

Re:Speedskating for dummies... - 06:41 17 Sep 10 Update on the skates after a wendesday night skate...

They pretty much rock. absolutely awesome, no difficulty skating in them whatsoever and they are easily the fastest skates I've ever worn... now to put them in the wardrobe for winter.
