Re:Consolidate forums? - 22:35 12 Jun 06 Oh, I know, it was just an example.....I love the word 'foo'. It's a great all-round substitute word for when my vocabulary fails me. Like 'thingy', 'wotsit' and 'wibble'.

Re:Consolidate forums? - 00:25 13 Jun 06 I reckon the idea of combining "Skating Chat" with "Places to Skate" works with "Events" (the more formal organised ones) and "Equipment" kept separate.
Although I don't think you will ever totally avoid cross pollination of the forums whatever path is taken.

Agreed - but I still like the idea from Cardiff skate about skating anyone?

It's very clear what it's for, so no cross pollination SHOULD happen - well in theory anyway.

I like the idea of the technique area, and the "skating anyone" area.

I still have anonomous posting area on my todo list but I thought that was just for people having problems logging in? I got worried about it as other sites that have an open forum spend all their time removing spam from it posted automatically by spambots. I hadn't disregarded the idea just wanted to do some research first
