Re:Le Mans 2006 - Transport - 09:23 25 Apr 06 The high-vis vest must be in the glove box or somewhere where you can put it on before you get out the car (e.g. it can't be in the boot). I have three vests already and we'll probably be getting more for Goodwood so you don't have to get these yourself.

I've been updating the packing list post so all the info should be there

Re:Le Mans 2006 - Transport - 09:24 25 Apr 06 Been thinking not sure everything has been captured so here's a list of what I usually take/ do.

Advise your insurance company - they may issue a green card.
AA will usually cover you for 72 hours in Europe - check your cover
Take your log book, MOT certificate and ALL current insurance documents (in case you get stopped by the Police or customs)
Take your driving licence paper and card if you have one
Spare bulbs
Warning Triangle
Headlight converters (you can risk if you think you'll only be driving during daylight)
Display a GB sticker on the rear of your car
High-Vis jacket in the car not boot - now law in France.
Passport - I keep mine with my driving stuff it's easier

Think that's about it. I'm off this weekend to France so if I discover anything else will let you all know.

I'm gonna book the ferries (and the hotel rooms) later. It doesn't actually matter too much who the driver is in the cars just that these people are in these cars and even then that is just for the ferry, we can all swap cars for the rest of the journey
