Re:Just inline? - 19:08 29 Apr 07 Hi longboardcory, and welcome to the Cskate site.

You actually met Dogsbody, Red, Merry and myself yesterday. (I'm the old guy who was wearing the helmet.) Dogsbody is the webmaster of this site who gave you the card to find us.

The charity event you showed interest in is The Goodwood Roller Marathon . It is the only skate event organised by us, and if you check out the web site, and look at the FAQ, you will see that Longboards, and other types of skates are welcome there. We organised the event for the first time last year and had around 145 competitors taking part. This year there is a choice of lengths (2 laps, 6 laps, or 11 laps) which you can choose to enter. You'll find all the details there. If you have any questions you can raise them through the The Goodwood Roller Marathon site. If you have any discusion topics concerning this event, you can bring them up on the forum entry on this site. Also if you have any links to longboarding sites, then Dogsbody would be pleased to know the web addresses for them, so we can promote the Goodwood Marathon event on them. You can contact him through the Private Messaging on the Main Menu after you have logged on. Thanks if you have already done this.

We occasionally do unofficial street skates in the area. The one we were doing on Saturday is discussed here. We are however an organisation of Inline and Quad skaters, but maybe Dogsbody wouldn't mind if you wanted to tag on to one of our unofficial street skates. I just don't know how street skates designed for Inliners would suit Longboards as I have no experience of Longboards. We just do the street skates for fun.

Re:Just inline? - 20:51 29 Apr 07 Welcome longboardcory and welcome to the site

I think MCS covered most of it. Thank you for the mail and the post on http://www.lushlongboards.com/ , I'm just waiting for my registration to be approved and I can post directly on there

You said that you may not be able to do Goodwood Roller Marathon but may be able to do the London Inline Marathon (LIM), unfortunately I believe the LIM is only open to skaters. It's run by the London Skaters Speed team as a speed race while Goodwood is much more relaxed and for charity, we would love longboarders and other small wheeled transport
Hmmmmm, new LCD screen for £150 or new PC (inc LCD) for £250, hardware is so cheap! - Twitter Status

Re:Just inline? - 07:21 30 Apr 07 LIM won't allow longboarders on the course - it's too dangerous with the speed that the fast guys get up to. I fear Goodwood is your only bet if you're after a race, otherwise LeMans doesn't mind, and you can join the london street skates. Up to Dan about the Camberley ones... ! Skate Monkey !
