Frankfurt Night Skate - 13:15 07 Sep 07 By the way. Did this Frankfurt Night skate this Tuesday. Its really very different to LFNS and a lot of fun. The roads were soooo smooth and the skate was very fast. About half the skate (670 skaters this Tuesday) were in 3 very long pacelines. Lots of wanna-be speed skaters. Would definitely recommend this skate if you were anywhere in the area on a Tuesday night just for the sweet roads. Long frames and helmet highly recommended.

Re:Frankfurt Night Skate - 13:26 07 Sep 07 Fantastic, they always have a big turn out at the international events like Le Mans (I wonder if we can get them to Goodwood!), we really must do a Cskate European tour one year!

Very happy to hear they are bringing back Red Dwarf in 2009 for four episodes!!

Re:Frankfurt Night Skate - 17:34 07 Sep 07 yeah.. its a whole bunch.. and you get this strange effect with the 3 pacelines with so many people of being 'sucked' along the road. Noone was drinking beer.. mostly uprighteous middle class German volk.. quite friendly.. everyone spoke English. One ASBOX - think boney M more than 'baby got back'... they have their own large support van. Police bike, Police car, 2 skating police (one with his girlfriend). Traffic totally stopped. I'll do a longer write up on Serpentine Road if I get a chance.

Re:Frankfurt Night Skate - 17:43 07 Sep 07 Yeah.. There is a similiar night skate in Mainz on Wednesday nights - about 60km's away.. and another small skate in Stuttgart (120Kms further away) on a Thursday night. All motorway connected. And a Friday in Paris on the way back I guess!
But its very intersting to look at the Frankfurt site as they run a whole bunch of tours to different locations and are very organised. http://www.t-n-s.de/
