Berlin Marathon - 19:38 23 Jul 05 This is started to convince those of you umming and ah-ing to actually come al ong and partake in the largest marathon in Europe. Allegedly it's a long flat (ish) smooth course. You'll be looking at quick times here.

I'm hoping to shave 5 - 10 minutes off my Hamburg time, what with new skates and spangly skinsuit (), although I suspect I'll still be some way behind Hans.

So come on guys. There's an apartment waiting so you've no excuses.

Re:Berlin Marathon - 09:53 24 Jul 05 I would be interested....could be the perfect last break away before I go into 3rd year of university! My only problem (being a student and all) is likely to be the money side of things! Any chance of a rough cost estimate??? Im away for a week now in Plymouth (boo hoo no wednesday night skate for me this week! RED-I will leave it in your capable hands to look after a little friend of mine!) will catch up with everyone next week x

Re:Berlin Marathon - 13:01 24 Jul 05 If you register before 31st July, it's 50 Euro to register. After that I think it's 70.

(http://www.davengo.com/e.php/en/13E58814/pro do the business)

Flights seem to be about 100 quid, although you could probably do it a bit cheaper if you were happy with really crappy times.

Looking at it, it is probably possible to do it all in a day - Fly out Saturday morning, and back Saturday night, which would save on accomodation costs (apartment looks to be about 50 Euros too) but you may be a little tired...

I'm not sure what the exchange rates are, but factoring in food and things, it's probably gonna be somewhere around the 200 - 250 mark. ish.
