I have just done a load of research on this so I thought I would post it up in case it was of use to anyone else. I have contacted a few companies about bulk discounts but not gotten anywhere so you can all do your own orders if you want.
ChampionChip is the timing technology that is used on many races, it works particularly well for skating events and is used for events including the Berlin Marathon, Blenheim Inline Challenge, London Inline Marathon and not forgetting the Goodwood Roller Marathon.
Instead of renting a chip from the race organisers each time (usually at an extra cost) you can buy your own Personal ChampionChip that is perminantly registered to you.
You can buy a Personal ChampionChip from any of the UK Partners however I have just contaced them all and FR Systems is currently the cheapest at £16.50 inc VAT & postage.
