Real skate shops in Berkshire/Surrey - 13:03 05 Oct 07 Question from the feedback form, can anyone help...
I'm thinking of starting to skate to get some exercise and lose weight. Can you tell me where I can buy the skates and kit in Berkshire/Surrey please. I'd rather try the skates on than buy them online.
Hmmmmm, new LCD screen for £150 or new PC (inc LCD) for £250, hardware is so cheap! - Twitter Status

Re:Real skate shops in Berkshire/Surrey - 16:54 05 Oct 07 There aren't any dedicated shops (as far as I know).

John Lewis has some quads. JJB in Reading has some inlines, but to be honest I don't think I'd trust either of those stores to help. The only 'real' solution is a trip to London.

Re:Real skate shops in Berkshire/Surrey - 13:11 06 Oct 07 Yeah it does tend to be what sort of skates your after, John Lewis, JJB & Decathlon will have basic skates. UK Skate do aggressives.

See the web links section on skate shops. The best bet if you do waht to try them on is Club Blue Room in London.

Having said that, skates are cheapest on the internet and by UK law they have to accept returns for things that you wear and have to try on. It's not ideal but you can probably find a better match for the skates you are looking for.
