Exercises for balance - 18:26 10 Aug 07 I think everyone now knows about standing on one foot while you brush your teeth (good practice for balance/ankle control for skating) but what other ways are their of improving balance?

My friend just sent me details of Slacklining which looks like it could be good

Although I'm looking forward to the release of Wii Fit (with Balance Board) which looks slightly safer!

Re:Exercises for balance - 20:01 10 Aug 07 http://www.sandskater.co.uk/shop/products/indo-package.shtml

know some one who had one of these which are fun if you like the thrill of trying not to slam into household objects.
But i never knew they cost so much for basically a plank of wood and a tube

Re:Exercises for balance - 17:44 27 Apr 08 Wii Fit is awesome!!!!

I was really starting to think that it was gonna be a toy and just lots of games that you control with your feet but so far (day two) it's really nicely designed and actually shows you where you can improve.... I know I have strong legs but I never realised I can't actually do a single proper pushup!

Re:Exercises for balance - 01:56 28 Apr 08 Pushups help with skating? Well I suppose if you fall over as much as me then yes they do help. When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Re:Exercises for balance - 09:35 29 Apr 08 Need strong (ish) arms for a decent armswing according to Sebby Baumgartner. Training is not just about legs, although that area obviously is important. ! Skate Monkey !

Re:Exercises for balance - 10:39 29 Apr 08 Probably why my shoulders kill when I do speed training! The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
