help from Australia! - 12:28 10 Apr 10 Hi guys!!
I'm in the land of Oz and I am DESPERATE to be skating, the roads here are AWESOME for skating only I didn't bring my skates :o(
I really want to buy some hard boots and Vicky has recommended Rollerblade Twisters, unfortunately here they don't seem to have many skate shops but I found this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROLLERBLADE-TWISTER-II-PRO-FREESTYLE-SKATES-UK-5- 5_W0QQitemZ320371053189QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Sporting_Goods_Skateboarding_Skating_ET? hash=item4a979a5285

Could you have a look and let me know if you think these are a good buy? They don't like the latest model but they do look like a good deal for the price.

I might just snap these up to come home to :o)

Thanks guys for your help and HAPPY SKATING!!

Laura of Oz xx

Re:help from Australia! - 10:51 11 Apr 10 Well if you will go to Australia !! These look reasonable. Really feel you should try some on first, but if you're happy to take a chance with £100 go for it.

Re:help from Australia! - 16:36 11 Apr 10 You didn't say where you are or how long you are there, but you may want to check out http://www.baysideblades.com.au/ which are based near Melbourne. If you are near they do skate hire and if not you could could always order from there if the price is good and get them delivered to your hotel or wherever your staying.

Regarding the ebay ones, I think the price is pretty fair although the Twister II's were the 2006 model, I think the Twister III's were 2008-2009 and I don't know if there is a Twister IIII in the pipeline. Having said that there was very little difference between the Twister models.

Re:help from Australia! - 09:02 12 Apr 10 Thanks Red & Dogsbody,
Red - I think you're right, I need to try them on first, 100 pounds is still a lot of money.
Dogsbody - if only I were in Melbourne! Melbourne is a cool place but i'm on the other side - in Perth, they're so laid back here I don't think they know how to move at all let alone skate! But thank you anyway.
Guess I will have to be patient and wait till I get home.
I was going to buy a pair of jumping stilts (they look awesome!!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-6WfPqB8kU&feature=related
but am now hankering after some hard boot skates instead, oh well, I have 23 hours of flying home to ponder which to do!
Thanks guys
Lx
