Windows XP - Service Pack 3 - 15:19 15 May 08 Anyone installed it yet?

Does it add much more than all the security updates that we should all have now already? I believe there are a load of bugfixes too??

I was expecting it to be pushed out automatically but it doesn't seem to be.
Back to a very hot and stuffy office. Would working for myself really be any better though!? - Twitter Status

See the MS PDF. Your assumption is probably correct, but MS also refer to new functionalities to the OS.

If you are set for Auto Updates then it should download and install automatically, but it may require a shut down for the installation, and it could be quite a big download. The full CD download is 544 MBytes. Typical download for a system is 80 MBytes according to MS.

If you are set for manual updates then it should be the only thing offered at the MS Windows Update site, but you need to be running IE to get any downloads there.

Re:Windows XP - Service Pack 3 - 16:08 17 May 08 Well I gave it a try, it's on Windows Update but apparently it won't be on Auto Update until around June/July time.

Update was easy, 60MB and a reboot! Not really noticed any differenced yet though.
