Lyrics - 16:28 09 Jun 05 I listen to a lot of music and most of the time I'm listening to the tune whilst doing something else (posting on forums or even, sometimes, but not too often, working)

I was listening today (when I was suposed to be working) and heard this....

"three o'clock in the morning
you get a phonecall from the queen with a hundred heads
she sais that they're all dead
she tried the last one on
it couldn't speak
fell off
and now she just a wanders the halls
thinking nothing.... thinking nothing at all
"

is it just me or can anyone work out what it means?
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing

Re:Lyrics - 21:38 09 Jun 05 Now I never had you down as a Scissor Sisters fan

Have you ever seen the film of the same name as the song? If so the lyrics become a lot clearer. Wow, I remember not being able to wait for that film to come out!

Re:Lyrics - 22:39 21 Jun 05 those lyics sound very mutch like there from www.darklyrics.com some band lyrics sound very intelligent when read like this

The human condition is inherit claustrophobia.
Compression of my space made complete.
I would rip out my own entrails by hand just to be alone.
Inanity rolls total through this sphere.
Ostracized for clarity of vision.
A dream unrealized of solitude that I should decend into autonomy
and know the pain of fellowship no more.
I feel nothing but a lack of space.
Paradox of socialization results in duress.
Rife with hostility, what has caused me so much hate?
Humanity. Exterminate with extreme predjudice.
but try hear those lyrics in the song. btw the song is black label by lamb of god give it a listen

Doom and gloom lyrics worthy of Papa Roach

What happened to lyrics about good things and how much fun life is and nice stuff like being in love, long summer days and hot summer nights (!)?

I'm not just talking about the cheesy, repetitive pop tunes but even in the rock genre there is a depressing "isn't life terrible" angst theme running when there's no real need for it.

There is a bright side in bands like Green Day, Blink 182 etc. Their lyrics take on heavy-ish issues whilst retaining a sense of humour whereas bands like Papa Roach, talented musicians though they are, only seem to sing about how poo everything is

Anyhow, I'm off to cheer myself up with some Slayer!

Re:Lyrics - 13:53 22 Jun 05 Anyhow, I'm off to cheer myself up with some Slayer!

I always used to want "Angel of Death" by Slayer played at my funeral. The image of my Nan sitting there while Tom Araya screamed out "Angel of death... going to the kingdom of the dead..." is truly fantastic.

Now I am more sensible... if I'm cremated I want "Feeling hot hot hot" and if buried I'm thinking that Going Underground by The Jam may be a better choice!
