Brooklands is actually a pretty nice open area to skate. There is often quite a wind as it is such an open place, but the surface is mostly really smooth. There are a few areas where you could set up some slalom cones and the old racing track is great for doing a few laps. Corners are quite tight so excellent for practising crossovers etc...
I've only just discovered this area after being pointed to it by a friend, but if you are looking for anywhere to skate around this area, its a good place to visit. If anyone is interested I've been going down there on tuesday evenings after work - it would be great to see a few of you there!
