Skate the Streets lesson with Skatefresh - 15:14 09 Aug 05 This thread discusses the Content article: Skate the Streets lesson with Skatefresh

I agree with Red totally - This course was excellent and I would highly recommend it!!

Once you decide not to skate off in terror when Asha tell you what she will be teaching you the course runs very smoothly and the time flys past!. There is a Maximum of 6 on this course (there were 5 on ours) which means once we have been taught there is time to practice under Asha's watchful eye to pick out any errors you maybe making and correct them....You certainly feel you have learnt technics fully and correctly and with practice you will be hopping off kerbs and Jumping man hole covers (MAN HOLE COVERS!!!! not the little ones neither!) in no time....

Asha gives step by step instructions letting you practice each stage before moving on which means that even the most difficult of moves come together naturally and trust me you are well proud of yourself once you have done it :-D

I would say it improves your confidence on the street and like Red says it really make you realise HOW much you have to think about Skating on the streets ..It is great fun but you have to think too...

I suppose that makes us "URBAN WARRIOR" now or at least proper Skat8r girls

So, YES it gets a big thumbs-up from me too

Re:Skate the Streets lesson with Skatefresh - 21:28 09 Aug 05 It's probably worth mentioning that AFAIK Asha is the be all and end all of skating in London. She's the one who qualifies everyone else and approves them etc. So you KNOW, if you're being told something on one of her courses, you can pretty much take it to the bank. ! Skate Monkey !

Re:Skate the Streets lesson with Skatefresh - 01:03 10 Aug 05 I think I'm gonna go on it, after my "wheezing" performance last week. I must be doing something wrong, I can't be that unfit surely!

Re:Skate the Streets lesson with Skatefresh - 10:03 10 Aug 05 Padrino not sure the course will cover off the wheeze - I did the course with a chest infection !! Asha did curl-up her nose when I mentioned the Camden route, and commented about the number of hills. So I reckon it's that particular route that's a real toughy, especailly if you've not done a street skate for a while.

Just my humble opinion.
