Good Indoors wheels?!?! - 11:03 10 Jan 06 As you know by now my lovely 'MERRY' frames are for indoor use only (don't want them getting muddy and dirty of a street skate now do I!) so I am therefore considering getting some wheels purely to use indoors and saving my FSK wheels for getting wrecked on outdoor activities such as street skates, La Mans etc etc...

Can anyone recommend good indoor wheels for my Salomon FSK's? I was just going to get another set of normal wheels but someone suggested it might be better to get something different

I know nothing about this so I'm turning to my fellow more intelligent skaters for advise

Re:Good Indoors wheels?!?! - 12:48 10 Jan 06 Just get whatever - I've not had any problems using my normal fsk wheels, some really cheapy wheels, not my 100s inside. Find something you like the look of and just go with it.

(There are 'indoor' wheels, but why bother?)

Re:Good Indoors wheels?!?! - 13:39 10 Jan 06 Great indoor wheels are hyper +grips

Speedskater tip for additonal grip clean them with vinegar before using them on the laminated floor it improves the grip. We do that before every indoor race.

Re:Good Indoors wheels?!?! - 13:54 10 Jan 06 All wheels have a diameter but they also have a hardness value (Salomon wheels are 83A). I have also heard good things about "Hyper" wheels.

I believe you want a slightly softer wheel for indoor/hockey skating however I am no expert on this and can't even remember if a higher number is harder or softer!

Re:Good Indoors wheels?!?! - 14:05 10 Jan 06 soft wheels are great... but really really sticky.

THis is what I was using on Saturday and almost killed myself when I fell.

Re:Good Indoors wheels?!?! - 14:10 10 Jan 06 That's the point isn't it? it's just that the new floor in the Arena was VERY sticky the first week!? Embedding gravatar.com icons in the Goodwood Roller Marathon site to give each racer a unique avatar that they can change if they want. - Twitter Status

Re:Good Indoors wheels?!?! - 14:18 10 Jan 06 I love my orange wheels - erhm.. don't know much about them other than they're ORANGE. PM Ed on SR, he's the wheel guru and he flogs them too! He's cheaper than the shops and gives you free advice too (he told me that Orange was good ) Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing
