Re:Introduce yourself! - 20:30 09 Jan 05 Yes! another refugee from Serp Road This looks a mighty fine site and yet another place for me to hang about whilst I'm in work. Its nice to see that there's a healthy skate scene in Camberley and I will be sure to visit once the invitation comes (Dan?) I met Dan whislt he was in Cardiff and spent many a pleasant evening skating the road of Cardiff with him. For those of you who don't know me I'm Alan from Cardiff, I've been skating about two and a half years now and according to my kids it's my mid -life crisis (they all started skating after me)
I passed my IISA level 1 in September 2003 and I'm gonna give Level 2 a go in June this year, that is if learning all these new moves doesn't cripple me first. A vetran of several Wednesday/Friday night skates (I have the scars to prove it) and a few drunken nights in the Vic to go with them. I also run a skate session in Cardiff on the Second Saturday of each month where skaters of all levels can come get some free tution on a nice indoor surface. Your all welcome to join us anytime you're down our way.

Keep up the good work spread the message - Skating Rocks!!!

Re:Introduce yourself! - 21:38 09 Jan 05 Cheers Wot the Devil?!
we might have to add Cardiff to our list of places to visit this year, if you can put a review in "Places to Skate" that would be cool!

Hi Wot the Devil - welcome to cskate. No invitation needed for either the Wednesday or the Saturday sessions, just turn up! If you want any info about either session, Mick (Monkey Boy on this forum) and Jane organise them.

Hopefully see you soon.

Re:Introduce yourself! - 00:50 04 Feb 05 I don't mean to be rude, but it's late I can't be bothered to read five pages of 'introducing yourself' as I know a lot of you anyway. So here I am, I'm Ollie incase you hadn't already worked that out, and if you want check out my profile and home page (it's laim but I don't have the time to make it anymore interesting!) then feel free to do so!

Well see you all bright and early Saturday morning (yeah right).

Toodles.

*EDIT* How do I put up an avatar and a signature? Can't find the links to do it anywhere!

Re:Introduce yourself! - 11:56 27 Mar 05 Hi Guys

I’ve been lurking for a while after following a link from SR.com so I guess I ought to introduce myself.

I’m Dave, and other than those crappy skates you strap over your sandals when you’re a kid, I’ve been skating about 3 years. I caught the bug while on holiday in France, and saw loads of people skating up and down the promenade in Nice. I thought ‘How hard can that be?’ bought a pair of cheap in-lines, and the rest is history.

Living in Hull, I think that I’m the only skater in town. There are one or two other skaters across the county, but certainly not what you’d call a ‘skating scene’.

Over the last couple of years I’ve made as many trips to London as I can, and done as many street skates. Although I’ve never dropped out of any of those skates, however a 400 mile round trip does concentrate the mind.

It’s good to find this site, and although I have only the vaguest ideas of where Camberley is, I do recognise some of your names from elsewhere on the net.

Regards to you all
Dave

Re:Introduce yourself! - 23:04 28 Mar 05 Hi Dave,

I have been skating in Camberley for four years now and only found that there was a group here last year (which is why I created this site) so don't give up looking for a community in Hull.

If you ever come down to do a London Skate then give me or Drakey a shout as we are nearly always there.

At the top of all the forum pages there is a link that says "my profile". You can also get to it HERE although perhaps I should add a link in the user menu. This is a lovely idea! Re:Introduce yourself! - 15:13 13 Apr 05 Hi all. I'm an old friend of Dan's and he sent me a link to this site so I could whip his butt at Tetris. I skated many, MANY moons ago and have been thinking about starting again. Bit scared of inlines but hey - gotta push those boundaries sometime, right? I live in Swansea so probably won't get to meet all you crazy Camberley kids for ages. Might get to Cardiff once I have some skates though, so watch this space. Je suis belle et ça ne demande aucun effort
