Drakey & Lemming, You were going to ask your companies about sponsorship, any news?

Red, I know you are following one lead but I think you said that you knew of a French company that you might be able to "chat up".

If there is anyone else that could approach their companies for sponsorship that would be greatly appreciated! I bought some bread this morning. Ciabatta? No, it was a fixed price

I'll leave it up to you what you think you can get from your company. Without wanting to scare everyone going I recon the combined costs for everyone all in and doing the expensive options could be in the range of £4000. I am working on a breakdown at the moment but if we could just get a comitment from a company to pay for T-shirts (£250ish), or the RV rental (£1000ish), or Ferry travel (£2000ish), or tents (god knows!) etc. then that would be great!

I am really sorry that I do not know more about how to request sposorship!

I am trying desperately to lock down on prices but so many things are based on others!

Re:Le Man Sponsorship - 14:43 26 Jan 06 I agree however we haven't got a fixed price for the RV yet! Drakey was pushing me for some numbers but they aren't that accurate. At the moment it looks like the RV would only be possible if we got sponsorship which is why I meantioned it here!

Merry is still contacting different companies getting RV quotes.

Dan, the reason i ask is that the marketing department will want to see some figures, what are they getting out of this? where is the money going
and who is accountable for it. if i say shirts, they'll want to input on the design, and accurate costings, They are not known for giving out cash.

Evans, would it be possible for you to write a short newspaper article asking for any local companies that would like to sponsor us for Le Man? I know this tact worked brilliantly for a local hospital radio station.
