Hi - 13:45 26 Jan 06 Hi to everyone here.

I skate at Farnham every Sunday having got bored just sitting watching my daughter. Been doing it for a couple of years and love it even if I'm not much cop at it (couldn't skate even as a kid and that was a long time ago!)

Tally so far is damaged cartlidge in my nose, tooth through my cheek, torn tendons in my right leg and a bruised coxcyx (oh and got knocked unconsiouss when I got someones skate in the head) And my wife doesn't like me scuba diving cos it's dangerous!!
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.Teach him how to fish, and he will sit by a canal and drink beer all day

Re:Hi - 13:52 26 Jan 06 Hi Wiggy

Welcome to the wacky world of Camberley Skaters. Hope to see you at one of our venues soon, or out on a street skate.

As for your near-death experiences you're in good company as you've probably read we've had 2 broken wrists recently.

The morale of the story is wear your pads, if you're falling try to fall onto your pads, and more importantly.....don't be put off. Sounds like you've cracked the last one already.

See you around sometime?

Red

Re:Hi - 14:10 26 Jan 06 I never skate without, at minimum, wrist guards. In the case of each of the little misshaps the only thing which probably would have saved me was not being on skates. Got lots of sympathy from my daughter though (not!)

I'll almost certianly join you for a street skate when the weather warms up.
