Outgoings - 22:32 09 Feb 06 There will always be things to buy with Cskate Association money. This thread is to keep a list in one place and perhaps in some sort of preferred order. Please post if you have anything to add to the list or any opinions on which things should be bought first.

Traffic Cones
Very important for Goodwood Roller Marathon but expensive at about £12 each when we need about 30.

Portable Amplifier
Something like an Asbox that can be used on the winter sessions and on street skates.

Business Cards
Would be very useful for promotion of the site and events.
200 bright orange plastic cards = £60
200 bright orange paper cards = £35 approx

Walkie-Talkies
Essential for organised Camberley Street Skates and Goodwood Inline Marathon as well as being used for other trips such as Le Man 24 Hour & Eastbourne Extreme. Price approx £65 per pair (4 required?)

Slalom Cones
Very useful however everyone already has their own which can nearly always be borrowed. 40 x Swiss cones = ~ £60.00

P.S. We are actively looking for Donations to help buy this stuff

Re:Outgoings - 22:52 09 Feb 06 There's a shop in Camberley - sells kitchen stuff, opposite the serious kitchen shop - that has walkie talkies for £15/pair. Let me look into hi-vis stuff for you - are you talking long sleeves or will vest-types do? Je suis belle et ça ne demande aucun effort

Re:Outgoings - 23:09 09 Feb 06 Merry is currently looking into walkie talkies for us as I gave her a bit of a list of the features we need (accessory plugs and licenced to use in Europe etc.).

The Hi-vis we are after are probably vests. You can see a picture of them HERE. We have two sources but both at £5 each and then I added a £1 to buy and print the iron on transfers that say "Marshal" (or "Marshall" on mine! ) If anyone can beat that it would be great as we probably need a few!

Re:Outgoings - 08:18 10 Feb 06 I don't think a loud hailer is a requirement. It might be useful, but we don't need one for the street skates.

Surely if this is goodwood motor cicuit they'll have some kind of PA system set up already?

Re:Outgoings - 10:28 10 Feb 06 Your right, We don't need a loud hailer but it would be really useful, I'll ammend my post.

I couple of times I was at the back of our little street skate and needed to shout to people to keep left as a car was comming though. I know my voice didn't carry far enough.

I don't believe Goodwood does have a PA, well it has never been used when I have been there.

Re:Outgoings - 00:48 11 Feb 06 Viewing this thread I suddenly realised that there were a load of adverts for High vis vests in the google ads! Long story short I now have a source for high-vis vests at £1.80 each (£2.80 each inc VAT & Delivery)! I love the Internet (Only) six people from Camberley on the BNP list, anyone want their addresses :-p - Twitter Status

Re:Outgoings - 10:55 02 May 06 Thanks to a few donations by Red, Monkey Boy and a very happy person that wishes to remain anonomous I now have three parcels heading my way this week with 200x plastic business cards, 8x high-vis vests with "MARSHAL" on the back and a pair of walkie-talkies all for cskate use.

All these things will be used for skating including events such as Goodwood Roller Marathon which saves hard earned charity money from the even being used.

As a group that doesn't charge for membership like some groups it is hard to raise money for the things we need so a big thank you to everyone that has donated to cskate. And of course if you would like to donate please feel free

Re:Outgoings - 15:25 04 May 06 Thanks to Nectarina on the SR forums cskate now has some slalom cones to add to our equipment and they were free!!

If anyone has any skate equipment they no longer want/need please consider donating it to cskate so that it can be used to help new skaters in our wonderful sport

Re:Outgoings - 22:08 09 Oct 06 We now have a megaphone so I have taken that off the list in the top post and added a Gazebo as an idea for future purchases. Any other ideas on what people would like to see money spent on? (Only) six people from Camberley on the BNP list, anyone want their addresses :-p - Twitter Status
