Re:i want one - 10:15 09 Mar 06 It's a great bit of kit and much better than some of the DIY kits I have seen where people have tried to attach bike speedo's to their skates! Trouble is that skating is a one foot sport, you rarely have both feet on the ground so I can't see it being that accurate Just changing your stride from stride one to stride two I would have thought would give completely different results! skates wheels are so small as well that if you wear them down by one mm then that could relate to a completely different speed. GPS is easier and more accurate Embedding gravatar.com icons in the Goodwood Roller Marathon site to give each racer a unique avatar that they can change if they want. - Twitter Status

Re:i want one - 13:06 09 Mar 06 Great for your FSK's but no good for speed merchants!
wheel sizes are only 76mm or 80mm, can't see many lycra lovers opting for a rocker set up on their 4x90's or 4x100's!! though mayeb lemming for speed slalom

Re:i want one - 16:33 09 Mar 06 I have managed to get through a new set of wheels in just 10 days.

for wheel thats $140 i'd expect it to last a life time but im guessing i could probably kill it within 3 weeks at the most.

Also with all the electronic junk inside the wheel, how easy would they be to brake?

personally i'd prefer to time myself against cars!
just dont hit the cones!
