Re:Sk8Jam - 28th Oct 2006 - 21:51 27 Oct 06That was the answer from Jane after enquiring with the Arena. Red I think was wanting to skate both sessions, which is why she asked. All it says on the SH website is :- Sk8 Disco - 5.00pm - 7.00pm - £2.90 per ticket Sk8 Jam Junior disco - Halloween theme and dressing up competition Adult supervision needed for under 8 year olds.

Re:Sk8Jam - 28th Oct 2006 - 10:03 28 Oct 06We're talking about the Arena! You don't expect anybody to know what's going on do you? I suspect you will get a different answer, or just a shoulder shrug, from each person you ask. Be interesting to know what actually happens. If you have had to pay, then you should be entitled to skate. If you are only supervising, (by order of the Arena), then you should get a refund.

Good to see the "twins" co-ordinated as ever and top marks to dogsbody for the personal sacrifce towards his overall appearance.
Great day, great demos.
p.s. the award for outstanding patience goes to Freeman and Chez as they had to endure my daughter (love her really) all afternoon "Sleeping lions" = great game.

Re:Sk8Jam - 28th Oct 2006 - 07:41 30 Oct 06I do hope every one had a good time on Saturday. The confusion with the tickets and when you could or couldn't skate and all this stuff was down to the Arena I'm afraid, Jane and I tried to make it a much less complicated event cos skating is for all of us. Our biggest problem is, and this would include the whole skating community, is the negative attitude towards skating. The council have now helped to put us on the map and Jane and I will do our best to keep it there, and I hope we can count on your support.
Wake up you non believers, Inline or Quad Skating is a real sport not an anti social behaviour.

Re:Sk8Jam - 28th Oct 2006 - 13:03 30 Oct 06Agree with all the sentiments. Great job by all. Everyone I spoke to said they had a great time. Emily (Embolizzm) won third prize for her fancy dress, so she'll definitely be coming again next year
Over to you Mick
