Re:Sk8Jam - 28th Oct 2006 - 14:08 30 Oct 06I do hope every one had a good time on Saturday. It was absolutely awesome, loved it
The confusion with the tickets and when you could or couldn't skate and all this stuff was down to the Arena I'm afraidI could say I am surprised but I'm not. The Arena is REALLY starting to piss me off with their constant negative "can't do" attitude, they aren't even polite about it! Mick & Jane i can't believe that you do so much for them for free.
Anyway, enough of that, I do want to thank Mick & Jane again for a great event that saw new people get involved in the sport and have great fun at the same time. Please also thank Jacqui at the council for her support, it is so great to see it all come together. From now on I am ROT26 encoding all my messages for added security - Twitter Status

Dan, when we sarted to do this some 11 years ago the Arena was so controling and believe me the skating would not be like it is now if we are paid for this work. Sound a bit strange but we have more control of the way we work it than if they paid us. There are only about 2 high ranking staff members who actualy know what we do on a Saturday.

One of Max's better ideas! he he. I only wish I had as much energy as Jenny does!
Also I am glad you all enjoyed the demonstrations. Many hours of late night and early morning practice at the arena!
Huge thanks to Mike, Jane and Jackie (apologies if I have spelt her name wrong) for all the hard work put into organising it. Such a good atmosphere all day.
Loved all the effort put into people's fancy dress costumes too!

Thanks Bagpuss! I loved playing silly games with Jenny, Sleeping lions was probably the best!! but i also thought the 5 minute silence "game" was also quite good...oh and lets not forget the hide & seek game where i "accidently" forgot to go and find her!!
She was great fun and made a very impressive Super Girl with her Super Hyper Energy Powers!!
