Re:Le Mans 24 hour 2007 - 30 June and 1 July 2007 - 16:03 01 Jun 07 Actually you want sprint practice - unless you're one of the unfortunates who starts or finishes, you'll only ever do just under 3 miles... ! Skate Monkey !

If you wouldn't mind, it's best to start a new thread for that. This is the Le Mans thread. Thank you

Re:Le Mans 24 hour 2007 - 30 June and 1 July 2007 - 15:56 02 Jun 07 Hmmm, I was just thinking about the fact that you will be driving over to France...just thought I would warn you that if you don't have spare bulbs, warning triangle and all your insurance papers on you and you get pulled over by the police, or the gendarmes, you're looking at pretty hefty fines : 350€ for no bulbs (I think) and at least 90€ for not having your papers on you..this is the same for your passports...

Oh and one more thing, if you see a sign saying : "contrôles radars" with like some kind of wavy type lines on them, there will definietely be a speed camera.....and they will fine you even if you're in an English car....oh and at the moment (since sarko has been voted in) there are loads more gendarmes about with binoculars which check your speed and they can give you a ticket for that too....
right, I'm sure you'll all be fine, just thought I'd warn you!

Re:Le Mans 24 hour 2007 - 30 June and 1 July 2007 - 00:08 03 Jun 07 Thanks again lemmings_sister, we have those things in our packing list as we have a skater with a house in France (Red).

The contrôles radars is really useful, thank you.

Re:Le Mans 24 hour 2007 - 30 June and 1 July 2007 - 08:02 03 Jun 07 In addition you need to STOP at STOP signs / solid white lines are they are instant fines too, and quite often at the moment have police sitting and waiting for easy pickings - at least around Normandy where I visited a few weeks ago.
