Re:Bands - 21:05 05 Jun 05 Some good music there.

Add Metallica
Live
Matchbox 20
Crash Test Dummies

Man - the list just goes on and I'm bored of typing band names...

I can listen to any MUSIC. Note that this does not include any kind of RAP (not music), NEW style RnB (crap music, just) or anything by any of those crappy manufactured bands - if they didn't write it, they don't deserve to be singing it (exceptions - Elvis, Sinatra, Bennet, etc...)

Re:Bands - 21:11 05 Jun 05 i like to see abit of CKY and H.I.M there, the thing about screamy music is most people listen to things like linkin park and think OMG there screaming how afull but thats all just there for show screaming in the emo bands i listen to is to put more emotion into what there saying, or in hardcore there to get you feeling amped, i used to be a little townie back in year 8 and i thought rock etc was stupid but unless you open your ears and give it a lisen im sure your see a bit of screaming goes along way

Re:Bands - 21:17 05 Jun 05 Look at the HUGE metal bands of the 80s and 90s. For example, Guns and Roses, Metallica, Iron Maiden (I class them as rock though)

The music is hugely layered and melodic, even with the 'screaming'.

Songs like November Rain, and even Enter Sandman have so much stuff going on that it's astonishing - compared to some of the toss that's produced nowadays...

It's tough convincing someone who already has preconceptions, but there's more music in that than there is in a lot of 'pop' and also see my previous note regarding rap.

Having said that, you can keep your Slipknots and Pantera and Sepultura - There might be some talen there, but boy are they completely wasting it..

Re:Bands - 21:33 05 Jun 05 I managed to sleep through most of Slipknot's set at Ozzfest a couple of years back. Je suis belle et ça ne demande aucun effort

Re:Bands - 14:47 06 Jun 05 Good band but I don't listen to them much.
And you should be doing your science homework Lydia.
