Even though on my second time I tried not to slow down too much and ended up crushing the glass... But 100% my fault, otherwise good work.

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 29th July 2007 - 12:09 31 Jul 07 Thanks to the organisers, Merry, Dogsbody, Red, Red's Mum, Jane & Mick (and any others I've forgotten - sorry!) for another splendid day, really smooth, really fun and just a great day out generally!

To add my 2 cents, the water stop is extremely important and useful as far as I'm concerned - without it I doubt I'd have made it round the course for 11 laps (or even 2!), as not only is the ice cold water a nice boost, but its also a morale thing, with water bearers giving words of encouragement when you're thinking 'I can't skate another yard...'

So for me, a very welcome and very useful facet of the race - thanks guys for all the water and encouragment.

And thanks also to all those that took part for adding to the fun and helping to make it such a successful day!

Also the number who turned up on the day..I'm just enetering all their data

Thanks to everyone who organised everything, it really is worth all the work that goes on behind the scenes. Well done to everyone who finished it, I'm pleased because I beat my time last year by just under 20 mins, but there's still loads of room for improvement there..!

The water stop is great to have - its somthing to look forward to after the windy bit!

I'm really glad the weather forecast was wrong!!

We would like to send out an update and are VERY close to our target. From what you all told us when you registered we still have around £585 to collect (we won't hold you all to it but we are ticking you off).
