hmm, shame the word 'Goodwood' itself might have to change... the letters fits really well overlaid on skate wheels!!! but then its better known as a motor circuit anyway.

Re:Design a Goodwood Logo - Please! - 00:33 13 Feb 08 Revived for one week only! We missed doing a logo last year but would like to have a stab at creating a logo for Goodwood this year.

Unfortunately we have to decide on the logo in next weeks meeting. We don't need it all shining or anything but if we are going to have one it should be on all marketing material which will start to be produced after this meeting so we need to decide which one to make all shiny.

Please have a skip back throughout this thread. Feel free to comment on any you think are good and please feel free to submit your own logo ideas ready for the decision next week. The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.

I like this one a lot, with a little work on the "skate" writing you could use it for everything and later you don't even need the writing. Name it and use it as a trade mark, If you know what I mean.

It could easily be drawn on quads, inlines and a board and for Goodwood just give him/her erm "it" a flag. When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Re:Design a Goodwood Logo - Please! - 20:05 13 Feb 08 I've done a bit of a modification on that one. I prefer the face lifted, and I've enlarged the 'SKATE' (Apologies too the artist). I'd like to see some stick forearms as well.

Artwork is only to show the idea reworked from the earlier posting, but I can't link it. It's currently in my gallery if Dogsbody can manage to paste it on photobucket with the others, and link to it.

It's a nice friendly suit all purpose kind of image. I like the way the body is composed from the C.

I think the face, legs and arms can be positioned differently as and when needed and the possibilities are endless. Here is my adaptation of it.

Looks a bit more speedy.
If people want to go with this character (whatever stance) I could try to produce some animated versions of it and perhaps some smileys for forum use.
