Cor that boy gets EVERYWHERE..just like sand
Taken from WOW 16th May 2007
== BRIGHTON ROCK (AND ROLL) ==
17th June is the date of the annual London-Brighton bike ride, when 27000 people get their bikes out of the shed and "I haven't done any training, you know" wobble along this 54 mile route before pushing their bikes up Ditchling Beacon. Last year a small group of London skaters decided to do it on skates instead, and they all came back saying how great it was, so this year we plan to repeat the experience. Advantages: nobody will believe you've done it, it looks so much cooler, and you can go home on the train (cyclists can't, due to overcrowding concerns). And it's a great way to promote skating to cyclists - especially when you overtake them
If you're interested, have a look at the thread on the serpentineroad.com forum. There'll probably be several groups at a range of speeds, so if you think you can cope with the distance don't worry that you'll be too slow. And if you're not interested in doing it yourself, have a gander at Dan Benton's Justgiving page, where he's raised over £700 already for Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust.

If you haven't sponsored Dogsbody already, its not long now! and he is sooooooooo close to his target
