Skate Magazine UK Distribution - 21:40 23 Mar 07 Hey all,

As you will have read elsewhere on this site Skate Magazine UK is soon to be released. Now we can all go and get our copies online or from other dealers (makes it sound like drugs!) or we can become dealers ourselves and make some money for cskate

The magazine is looking at using clubs to distribute the magazine and so will sell them to us in bundles of 25 at a significant discount. The cover price is still £2 so we get to keep the difference

As I see it there are two questions...

1) Have we got 25 people here that will buy it (remember I people will probably buy one per household unfortunately)?

2) Does anyone want to take on selling these for us please??

All feedback welcome

Re:Skate Magazine UK Distribution - 22:04 23 Mar 07 Surely the question is not whether we can sell 25 copies, but can we sell enough to make a profit? You are the only one with the figures to know how many that is.

I would like to buy a copy of the first issue from wherever I can get it. But as none of us have any idea what the magazine will be like, then on seeing the first and subsequent issues, people will make further decisions as the publication evolves.

Re:Skate Magazine UK Distribution - 22:18 23 Mar 07 Good point!! OK, it depends if we pay for them to be sent to us or if we pick them up from London (possible with the London Skate season upon us). We would have to sell 16 if we pickup or 19 with delivery to make a profit. This is based on a pack of 25 (it's 30 & 35 for a pack of 50), it would still be an idea to sell all of them though So who originally came up with size of a U as a measurement of a rack unit? - Twitter Status

Re:Skate Magazine UK Distribution - 22:54 23 Mar 07 Well I'd certainly like a copy and at the moment I've no idea where else I'd get one. Distribution at London skate sounds a good idea.

Re:Skate Magazine UK Distribution - 10:40 24 Mar 07 Let's wait and see how many firm orders you get.

If this goes ahead, then you can put me down for the first couple of issues.

I'll be amazed if Smiths et al stock it, so the only other place I can get the magazine is online, with a delivery charge. Can we increase the price to cover delivery costs? I will happily pay the same price as I need to pay to get the magazine online.

Re:Skate Magazine UK Distribution - 11:21 24 Mar 07 I'll be amazed if Smiths et al stock itThey won't be stocking it. Skate Magazine UK are purposefully pushing this through the clubs only or sold online through their website.

Personally I think we can just about sell 25 but it would be nice to have someone than the standard organising lot to do it. Cskate can front you the money (if everyone is agreed) and you give us the profit back afterwards.
