Help! Too much Choice on quads!! Help me!! - 09:17 31 Mar 07 Hello there - I am returning to skating - something i have done for 15 years. I wasn't bad in my youth but i am looking at quads only - I am old school

Can anyone tell me what Ventro Pro's are like?

I can't afford to spend big money on skates, but i want a pair that are going to be smooth.

Any ideas? I am at a loss!!

I see freesport quads on ebay - but i don't know how good they are! also Phoenix ad stateside?

I hear all these makes but they don't mean anything to me!!

I know bauer = but they are out of my price range!

Would welcome any advice!!

Re:Help! Too much Choice on quads!! Help me!! - 12:01 31 Mar 07 Jax, an ardent quad fan, although she's recently turned to the dark side and bought some inlines has a pair of Grafs which she really liked. I'm not sure if they're less expensive. She had Bauers when she was younger. Chill baby!

Re:Help! Too much Choice on quads!! Help me!! - 12:04 31 Mar 07 There aren't a lot of quad skaters on here I'm afraid. Have a search for a post from Tiink - she bought some new quads a while ago and seemed very happy with them. Also it may be worth asking on serpentineroad.com - there are a lot more quad skaters on there. Unfortunately, as with anything, the more you spend, the better the quality (generally). ! Skate Monkey !

also Phoenix ad stateside?I'm an inliner, and not very knowledgable about different models. However, my first inliners were Statesides from eBay. Regret, they were C-R-A-P, and had to go after around 3 months. The front wheels rarely touched the ground, and after ages trying to skate backwards, it happened instantly when I changed skates.

See you have just solved the dilema while I was typing.
Good luck with your return to skating.

Hi Sarah, Welcome to the site.

Take a look at the FAQ on the Arena.
Some of us from this site will be there tonight at 5pm if you want to give it a go and also put some 'forum' names to real names/faces
I\'ll NEVER post on the forums

Re:Help! Too much Choice on quads!! Help me!! - 14:25 31 Mar 07 See the FAQ (Main Menu on left).
Then select Places to Skate.
You'll find the Camberley Arena Leisure Centre.

If you're really stuck, then here's a shortcut.
http://www.cskate.co.uk/content/view/28/80/

They do three sessions on a Saturday (indoor).
Next one is in 1½ hours time if you're local to this area.

Ahhh, I see Merry beat me to it. And welcome to the site by the way.
