Double Push - 12:01 19 Jun 07 Was chatting to someone on Sat about this "Double Push" thing and to be quite honesty I had no idea what it was although I had heard of it. So I decided to do a search and came across this which I think is both interesting and useful. Anyway not one to keep things to myself I have decided to share my find with you all.

Have no idea how he manages to do it without falling over but then again I still a bit of a newcomer.

Re:Double Push - 15:55 19 Jun 07 That site breaks it down very nicely.

We did a little of double push in LS-mikes speed lessons, it's also known as "Stride Three" if you want to have more of a google.

It's a shame that those Eddy vids have gone now, that were good too.

Was that the part when we were leaning over, falling onto each other?

Re:Double Push - 16:52 19 Jun 07 Hi Dogsbody,
stride three is not the double push as far as i recall, similar but not the same,
lemming might be able to give a better definition

Re:Double Push - 17:07 19 Jun 07 Oooo, tell me more, I always thought they were the same thing! Perhaps the double push is part of stride three? Embedding gravatar.com icons in the Goodwood Roller Marathon site to give each racer a unique avatar that they can change if they want. - Twitter Status

Re:Double Push - 16:29 20 Jun 07 Well all i remember was a heated debate halfway through my ICP course where two of the students were telling Asha that the Stride Three she had just shown us was in fact the double push, i think the double push is based on stride three but Mikey two names might give a better definition.

Re:Double Push - 17:32 20 Jun 07 Have relooked at the NettRacing site, on Stage 9 he writes The last step is to actually do the double push. The only difference from doing the kick back with the arms and doing the double push is when the plant skate is being set down it has to be turned to the inside initially to get the inside push then it is turned back to the outside for the outside push.

So from his video and the write up I assume that the "Double Push" is because firstly you push out on the outside edge and then, before you fall over, you change the inclination of the plant skate to push out (back across)on the inside edge.

Re:Double Push - 21:49 20 Jun 07 i as far as im aware, stride 3 and the D.Push are different strides. The D.push is like stride 4! its not the easiest stride to master!! i dont think i can even do it properly. just dont hit the cones!
