Salomon prototype - 19:40 17 Jun 05 Hi guys,
i was lurking on Serp road under Equipment came across a new FSK for 2006!

the boot is black, but has a buckle like the S-lab, it also has strap across the foot over the laces. Another feature is a new frame with rockerable front and rear wheels tentatively named Crossmax 3VSL, seems to be aimed at slalomers oh and the frame is orange to match my hockey wheels!

Note: i have just uploaded a picture into my gallery if you want a look at what you will be wearing next summer!

Re:Salomon prototype - 21:32 17 Jun 05 Nice! As they said with the S-labs they really got it right with the Crossmax the first time around and how to you improve on something already good. Now that I know more I would say that the slight improvement that the S-labs give is making the powerstrap into a buckle. Doing this has left the laces obsolete and it looks like they have now replaced the laces with a velcro strap in these new boots.

I'm a bit upset that these new boots will be rockerable, that is something that I really wanted but was only really an option on the original crossmax 1's. Still, I guess I could still buy a seperate frame.

The S-labs were released in November last year so I imagine that these will be out at about November this year

Would really quite like to watch every episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer but that would be over 5 days of my life to watch! - Twitter Status

Re:Salomon prototype - 21:58 17 Jun 05 the laces are still there, but have the velcro strap for a tighter fit, apparently they might have the locking laces feature back on them, so this makes it a mix of the last three crossmax's, i can already justify buying them in my on mind!!
