Re:Le Mans 2008 - 28 & 29th June 2008 - 22:16 18 Jun 08 Wow, that video bought back memories!!

This time, I managed 150 miles however the new world record for a skateboard is 242 miles. Is there a similar bar for you guys?I have no idea about a world record for skaters but I just looked up the results for individual skaters doing the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2007. As you can see. The winner did a total of 468,16 km which is 291miles. One of these entries should be the longboarder too but I don't know which one.

Re:Le Mans 2008 - 28 & 29th June 2008 - 22:55 19 Jun 08 I just want to say I haven't forgotten about Le Mans - I've just been really busy recently. I'm going to put together the information for the trip this weekend.

Don't forget to check the packing list: Packing list!

People driving be sure to check the items you need in your car on the list under 'DRIVERS WILL NEED'. I think we can borrow hi-vis vests from Cskate if you don't have one.

Be sure you have:
A Helmet
Passport and photocopy
Medical Certificate
European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
Your travel insurance.

Re:Le Mans 2008 - 28 & 29th June 2008 - 08:17 20 Jun 08 Ooh glad you did this post, I was beginning to wonder when we'd find out times, places to meet etc etc.

Will await your instructions

Re:Le Mans 2008 - 28 & 29th June 2008 - 09:15 20 Jun 08 I'm thinking just meet up same place same time as last year! The ferries are more or less the same time as before. I'll put together the car packs for the drivers with maps etc and give them/post them to you next week.

About the shopping, is there anyone who would like to help out with this? I'm not exactly known for my cooking skills! I'm not sure how much we'd need to buy of everything.

Does one of the drivers expect to have space to carry the food/part of it?

Re:Le Mans 2008 - 28 & 29th June 2008 - 11:08 20 Jun 08 wehhh... Le Mans.... stufff.. things i am also still here, havent forgotten either!!

....food
- Dogsbody has kindly offered to pick me up and drive to the supermarket, on thursday evening, if that sounds ok?
Get any late food requests in no everyone!
He can also pack the shopping in his car.

...Racing rota

Similar to last years rota Dogsbody has put together a shift system that for each racer will be approximately 2 hours shifts with 5 hours 20 break.
Sprint qualifier/Starter/Finisher the previous year were Freeman/Freeman/Lemming. I dont mind if you guys are happy to do this again?? Or fancy a change?? Or if there is anyone else who is keen to give it a go then let me know?? Also, i have to submit the 10 team names for our official Racers list v. v. soon - if anyone would rather swap into pit crew please tell me ASAP otherwise I'll stick with whats already been agreed.

...meething up Friday A.M.

So if everyone is ok with meeting at the petrol station by Tesco's... at a quelle heure??
Terry – you probably sent the ferry times out but they are buried in a list of PMs somewhere!
Red – hoping to be at Arena tmrw anyway but if not let me know what time you want to set off in our part of the convoy. I’ll dig out a few CDs for the car… Girls Aloud or something, Kingol will like that.

...ASBOX

sur le sujet de musique... was discsussing with dan that what would be ace would be to have this for the trip *bats eyes at Elric*

...feeling a little bit frantic but excited just 1 week - YEY!

Ahhhh Its come around so quick... and i didnt expect to have a dissertation to hand in like next Thurs.... how much does that suck?? I wish I felt better prepared cos I've done no training compared to last year, and instead been sat about studying, eating cr8p and smoking fags lol… But I am excited cos it’ll be much fun to all get together again, but I will be needing those shouts of encouragement from you all from the Camberley bank* as I splutter my way round, lol!

* OUR official spot, if anyone else dares to try and take it (GRRR!)

Re:Le Mans 2008 - 28 & 29th June 2008 - 07:16 23 Jun 08 I'm similar to Max, so Dan, you can take the finish if you want. To be honest, given the change in the way they do the finish, I think we'll be hard pushed to get more than 2 laps in anyway. ! Skate Monkey !
