Pixmania - 08:27 30 Nov 07 Just following from Dan's 'money off affiliate post'. I was gonna buy my new monitor from them, and signed up and everything, but when it came to checkout I was being forced to buy an extended warranty type thing with it which put the price up another 20 quid, so watch out! ! You can remove it too, just click "find out more" and turn it off. You can delete the loyalty card extra as well. Very cheeky, I totally agree!! If it weren't for pick-pocketers, I'd have no sex life at all.

I'm sure I tried all the links that were there, but no way to turn it off. It may have been disabled on my link 'cos I was following one and using a code that gave and extra 5 pounds discount.. ! Re:Pixmania - 23:16 03 Dec 07 Spoke to somebody earlier today who ordered a digital camera from Pixmania, complete with a free battery charger. (Not through our link.)

It would appear that the instructions supplied with the camera were all in French, and the charger was originally fitted with a continental plug, connected to a 13A UK plug adapter. The constuction was such that the charger then extended from the socket by about 6 inches, with the batteries hanging upside down ready to fall out. When he rang pixmania about the instructions, he was told he could download the English Manual online. (True but not very satisfactory.)

So it would appear that in this instance, they were grey imports intended for the French market only. Be advised.

I must admit I'm surprised as they are owned by Dixons. If it weren't for pick-pocketers, I'd have no sex life at all.

took 2 weeks.
