BattleUK III - Nottingham - 11th October 2008 - 11:15 11 Jan 08 Cor, everyone is being very organised this year!

BattleUK III: Title TBC will take place nine months today, on Saturday 11th October 2008. The venue for the event will, once again, be the Victoria Leisure Centre in Nottingham.

Now that BattleUK had been upgraded from a "one cone" to a "two cone" event in the World Slalom Series rankings, it is now one of the top five WSS events in the western hemisphere, so we hope to see even more skaters compete at BattleUK III this year!

Miriam already beat me twice this year so it was nice to have a change this time!! Got a couple of little trophies (robin hood theme in nottingham so one was an arrow the other a little sword!) and there was a bit of prize money for coming 3rd in freestyle too which paid for celebratory drinks that evening with my supporters (Adam and his friend Geoff!!). Oh and also got some new bearings as part of the prize as J & R sports (the Seba distributors) were sponsoring the event.

Roll on the next competition!!! Can't make Singapore in December but looking at Munchengladbach again as a possibility in February - lots of beginners also enter that one so if anyone else is interested in coming alon do let me know!!! Plenty of time to practice between now and then!
