@Dan - if it's gonna be something we can use for other events, wouldn't that make the title a bit superfluous - shouldn't it be - design a cskate logo?

Re:Design a Goodwood Logo - Please! - 22:20 30 Jan 07 No, no, not other events!! Yes we should set a font, colour & design for the text just not make it part of (put it inside) the logo.

Sorry, the two things that worry me are what Merry said. Firstly we could still have to change our name, not this year but in the future so having a logo that doesn't include the name would allow us to keep a constant logo throughout the change. Second, we aren't entirely sure where this logo would be used so having a logo separate to the text would allow different setups... a T-shirt could have the text underneath while a banner could have big text with a logo at each end... or something.

I hope that makes sense and doesn't just sound like me sticking my oar in
