Last year we just paid 15 euros to get the pit crew track side and like Dan said Evy did a couple of laps and if I had wanted to I saw no problem with me doing a couple too..

You remember 2006 there are soooooooooo many people there that there is no way they can keep tabs on what the racers look like!..

Plus you have the T-shirt now..you have to go

Oh and from experiance the camp site arn't so bad...it where they keep the food and alcohol

Obviously it's Mansfield & Retry's decision but I don't see a problem with you travelling down with us and racing with them!? just checked metcheck and notice that Saturday at Le Mans will be 28 degrees. I'll be brining extra water bottles for the pits . However as inportant please make sure everyone brings sunscreen.

Re:Le Mans 2008 - 28 & 29th June 2008 - 16:19 25 Jun 08 I have to admit I am a bit uneasy about the 11th racer issue. I understand how bad things would feel for Dan if we were caught with 11 racers. There are issues with the 11th person not being covered by the race insurance. All unlikely to be a problem but the risk and consequences are there.

What does everyone think? Don't let the fact I am worrying stop you coming Dan, I worry a lot! If everyone else is OK with what's going on, well then its just up to you.

Dan, if you decide you do want to come after all, we can still accommodate you - there's no change or inconvenience to the bookings either way (but you would still need to drive - my car probably wouldn't take all 3 of us plus kit without the exhaust rattling all the way there and back, and Bitwobbly's car is out of action). Of course its ok for you to travel with us to race with someone else if you want.

I mean, last year there were three teams all sharing about 36 people! That's six people not on the books let alone swapping teams. Every year we have been to Le Man the Camberley team have raced with a different number of skaters than we signed up with!

The insurance they provide is public liability (same as we have at Goodwood) and as such you are still taking part at your own risk, all they are insured for is that they don't drop something on your head and do something to you. An EHIC card and holiday insurance covers you for everything else.

Re:Le Mans 2008 - 28 & 29th June 2008 - 16:57 25 Jun 08 Don't panic about the car - we're ok. I've talked to Bitwobbly and if Dan Solo is not coming then I'll drive Me and Bitwobbly there. Nothing needs changing ferry wise.

Edit: About my car - its just a little 1L corsa, and it doesn't like heavy loads! I might not be able to keep up with you all on the way if we go as fast as last time

. Plus I've not done right-hand-side-of-the-road driving before so I'd be taking it steady

. Still the rest of the convoy can go ahead if you want - claim our campsite spot before anyone else does!
