Re:Introduce yourself! - 12:20 17 Jul 05 Hi everyone. I've just logged on after seeing the site address on some T shirts at Eastbourne yesterday. I've been skating for a couple of years along with my girlfriend after we bought some skates whilst visiting Paris. We live near Godalming and were pleasantly surprised to find a group of skaters based so nearby. We tend to skate most along the coast - Brighton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth or occasionally in London. Looking forward to meeting up with some 'new' skaters soon!

I'm afraid that some of the info about local places to skate is now hidden deep in the forums but I will be sorting them out soon and coming up with a searchable map of locations

Re:Introduce yourself! - 15:22 20 Jul 05 hi. im damian and from camberley in surrey. registered on here about 10/15mins ago.

i used to live in windlesham where i put together our own roller hockey team. we got into a few competitions but that all stopped as soon as i moved to camberley (about 7 years ago).

i got a job at the arena leisure centre and used to take the tickets at the door on the saturday morning skate sessions.

me and mates used to play roller hockey on saturday afternoons with mick and jane but that did not last very long. was a shame for it to all come to a close.

i have been to eastbourne a few times but missed it this year, which im quite annoyed about. also missed the marathon skate

i also used to go the friday night skate up at hyde park, london. probably went there a few times altogether.

as im getting a bit older and taking on more and more work, theres not enough time in the day to go for a skate. but i am going to be getting back into it and also purchasing myself a new set of hockey skates.

will probably see some of you around.

My name is Bill, i'm 27 and live in Basildon, Essex. I used to goto RollerCity in Southend a lot when I was 14/15 and only recently found out about RollerWorld in Colchester. So i bought a nice new pair of quad skates, and the best wheels/bearings i could afford and off i went last Sunday. Me and my group had a fantastic night, its renewed my love for skating and we are going to be making a regular habbit of it now. In fact me and my mate are going to our very first Roller Disco night on Sat night at RollerWorld!.

I'm here because i've been looking for a good forum to chat about skating, and even make new friends in the process. This seems like a good site, and i've already seen that some of you appear to goto RollerWorld which is great because its the closest one to me.

You are more than welcome here. We certainly get around a bit with a few of us regularly going to international skate events so your location is no problem at all

Strangely enough I was at a wedding in Basildon two days ago!

This site is still quite young (if you hadn't guessed by the recent posts) so all feedback is welcome. We have a slowly growing group of quad skaters so your not alone.

Feel free to ask any questions on the forums.... and as we haven't got many quad skaters then as you learn stuff you can educate others by writing articles in the FAQ
