Le Mans 2008 - Essential Documents!! - 11:36 21 Apr 08

Nearly 2 months to go!!!
Probably a good time to give you all a nudge about the things that each individual will need to obtain in terms of documents, in good time before the trip.

All people travelling with the group will need.
* Passport
* European Health Insurance Card
* Holiday Insurance (you may already have your own, but we will arragnge a group insurance for all who have not got insurance as yet)

All racers will need
* Medical Certificate* (unless you have an FFRS licence)

*The Le Mans regulations say...
“A medical certificate that is no more than 12 months old on race day (Juin 28th, 2008) and that certifies their ability to participate in the sport of roller-skating.”
So this usually involves a doctor’s appointment and whatever fee (£10 or so) the practice charge to write a letter. Depending on how thorough they are they may want to take your blood pressure or if your unlucky may try insist you take a full medical.

They have changed it, the medical cert used to have to be less than a month which was a pain as the month before we usually rushed. That's great, I need to go to the quacks anyway so I can get my certificate at the same time

The ferry is now booked! We sail at 7am on Friday morning.

Here is the car arrangements as booked:

Car 1 :
Freeman, Dan, Dave

Car 2:
Dogsbody, Lemming

Car 3:
Red, Kingol, Mansfield

Car 4:
DanSolo, Retry, Bitwobbly.

Here are the food requests:
Pot Noodles, Sausages & Burgers for BBQ, Snickers and bananas, marshmallows, breakfast in a can, Yorkshire Tea, Milk Chocolate Digestives, Brown Bread, Semi-skimmed milk, Tomato based pasta sauces, mature cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, real butter, orange juice.
