Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 10th August 2008 - 12:32 20 Aug 08 Just one incy-wincy point. - The certificate line for the time is very long. I would like to remove the zero in front of the hours (01, 02, 03, 04) as nobody could take more than 04 hours 59 mins and 59.999 secs. Not sure that we require the and or fractions of seconds either. The and was there last year but of course the fractions were not as I don't think the timing system gave it. The zero was not at the front either.Yeah, you wouldn't believe the programmatic difference between 00:40:05 and 40:05.321 can't we all just work in epoch seconds!!??

The question was really based on whether we should have a Goodwood Roller Marathon Logo for the event, promotion and T-shirts etc, as it is a separate entity which is organised by Camberley Skaters.

I think maybe now that the event has become synonymous with Camberley Skaters, then perhaps there is no point. It will no doubt come up again for next year and I guess, if we get a vote on a logo we like, then it will go ahead.
This is hilarious, it's so obvious and right in front of our nose but I had just never thought of the T-shirt design as a logo. It's simple, contains the cskate logo as well as the name of the event. Currently it does lock us into the NSPCC due to the green dots but they can be changed for wheels if required.

Now I could be wrong here so I wanted to ask. Last year I figured that Goodwood was now the largest roller race in the UK. This year I reckon we are the largest non-free roller event in the UK!!?? Anyone agree/disagree??

Do you want me to post the write up here as well or wait and see if it gets published? I hope it does apear in Skate mag, as it is one of the biggest skats events in the UK
