"It's about 200 miles away"
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 16:59 17 Apr 08 You could always do an early Sunday stroll and peel off after a few miles When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 19:26 21 Apr 08 Guys just a word of warning....THIS IS REALLY REALLY TOUGH!!! I did Goodwood in 1hr 30 mins ish last year so I'm not too slow on skates but omg I'll definately be thinking twice about putting myself through this one again! I was soo close to calling it a day at the halfway point and slept the whole way home in Sarah's car (thanks Sarah!!!). Seriously get yourself fit before this...and if you do it...good luck and enjoy it!

I will not decide if I'm going until much much nearer the time I think!

(OK, I suspect I felt crap too, but I've only got the good bits in my mind now.)

Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 13:30 22 Apr 08 I could be up for this too, weather permitting, beats tooling round circuits and I've entered the Inline 111, so getting some hill practise would be good. I guess the meeting time and point will be posted nearer the date?

Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 11:05 09 May 08 So who is stil up for this?
If I am gonna do it I would like to do training run like a very long street skate, 30 mile or so, a couple of weeks before the event, either on a Sat or Sun.
Anyone wanna join me?

Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 12:59 09 May 08 I'm still up for L2B.

I'm currently building up some stamina by lapping at Eelmoor and increasing the time I'm continuously skating (next time out I'm on for 1.5 hours). Not much fun solo but the iPod helps

Happy to do a long distance skate a few weeks before or to train with others to make it more interesting than goin ground and round and round and round....
