My first train arrives at Clapham Junction at 07:15.

Kingol, can you share your knowledge please
Freeman what is your plan, I don't want to do this distance Billy no mates style
Bitwobbly, I'll give you a call on your mobile later this evening if you like?

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 13:37 14 Jun 08 I'm afraid I'll be getting a lift up with someone who knows so I don't actually know where to start. I imagine, though, that all the bikes will give you a clue once you get to Clapham... Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 19:00 14 Jun 08 I can't get there for that time Freeman but please take my mobile number from my profile, if you do happen to stop for a long break along the way I might catch you up a bit.

Thanks Kingol, got your PM.

Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 00:19 15 Jun 08 I won't catch up with those in front and don't want to do it alone so I'll have to give it a miss, besides another year of practice certainly won't go amiss.
Good luck to those that go.

Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 12:30 16 Jun 08 Phew, it wasn't bad on a bike but I definitely knew I'd done it by the end. Still I've got a medal and some sponsership money for the BHF; jolly good fun I'd say. It was a lovely day and I even managed to cycle all the way; I only stopped for a breather once up Ditchlings.

I passed 5 skaters; I recognised a couple from the Londonskate - particularly the pink helmet with flowers. Tried to encourage all I saw.

Sorry you didn't make it Elric.

Oh I started at about 08.00 and finished at about 15.50 so 8 hrs in all. I wasn't pushing hard at all and had 4 stops for food/ice cream and at least 2 to allow ambulances through to scrape up the remains...

Re:London to Brighton - Sun 15th June 2008 - 23:41 17 Jun 08 Freeman & Dave, how did you do? Would really quite like to watch every episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer but that would be over 5 days of my life to watch! - Twitter Status
