Re:Introduce yourself! - 16:12 11 May 05 So is the second session and the evening session lessons as well? Or is there just like a free time sort of skate?
Lol, sorry for asking what may sound like a simple question. I'm only 16 anyway so in so many words i'm still a kid

Re:Introduce yourself! - 16:50 11 May 05 The second and evening sessions are just skate sessions. They play games and have a general skate around the arena. In the morning the Arena is split in two so you can go and practice what you learnt in the lesson (if you had a lesson) or just have a break and watch other people.

O and Dogsbody, I go cause I have the mental age of a 6 year old

Like Red said come along and give it a try - I've only been going 6 weeks and am already hooked

If you have any more questions don't be afraid to ask

Look forward to seeing you at the Arena sometime
I\'ll NEVER post on the forums

So i was wondering if you guys could give me some advice. I never got on well with blades so i'm thinking of getting some quad skates, but what would be the best design/make for a beginner for indoor arena use?

Hi Saz
Mrs_Speedstar was in a similar situation having skated for years on quads, and never really getting to grips with in-lines. It took a lot of hunting to find a quad taht she was happy with. In the end we went to ASkate Attack in Noth London. Lots of people have less than good things to say about this shop, but we found then to be excellent.
They fitted Carrie with a a pair of white leaher artistic quads, which although are giving her blisters at the moment, once broken in should give her years of reliable skating

Re:Introduce yourself! - 23:39 11 May 05 Hi Saz. I got my skates from skate attack shop in north london too. I know they have a website you can look at too if you go on there an have a quick look. I found all the people in there were ok to sort me out with my inline skates after switching from my artistic quads last year!

Re:Introduce yourself! - 17:00 12 May 05 Ok well I have been hanging around this site for a while so may as well introduce myself....

Ok I hate these things but here we go...

My Granddad taught me to Skate on the pavements outside our house when I was about 7. In the famous 'Adjust to any size' wear over Trainer Skates. Am not sure if this counts as proper skating but hey its true

I brought a pair of 'very cheap' inline Argos specials when I was about 14 but decided I was too old for that sort of thing Tut kids! LOL....

Skip to a "few" years later and some friends of mine (Red & Dogsbody) took up skating. Never one to be left out I decided to give it a go at the beginning of April...Even with a 8.30 start at the Arena ON A SATURDAY!!!

I have just taken delivery of some Salomon Crossmax S-lab after only 6 weeks of skating - So I guess you can say am hooked!
