Re:Introduce yourself! - 11:19 18 May 05 Hello!

I thought I would take the time to introduce myself to everyone seeing as I just joined the site yesterday. This site was recommended to me by my skating instructor, Mike Van Erp. Myself, my brother and my friend, Alex have been having lessons with Mike since Feb/March of this year. He is fab.

When I was 8 years old I used to skate about on the quad skates but never really kept it up. I did get quite good on them. I finally found some people to join me. We're having fun learning and falling about. My brother can be quite suicidal on the blades sometimes. I think I can definitely say he's the most daring out of us!

The 3 of us also do Lau Gar Kung Fu and kickboxing so that keeps us fit. My brother and I are currently on orange belts. I am trying to convince him to join the site too. Just needs some encouragement.

I live in Berkshire and have found it impossible to find decent places to skate. We just need some decent parks/floors. Hopefully I'll make it to a Camberley session sometime.

My goals are pretty simple: to learn how to skate fluently and have some fun along the way. It would be great to make friends too as that's what it's all about!

Re:Introduce yourself! - 12:32 18 May 05 Ooh thank you very much. I am sure we can find a spare Saturday in the month of June. How does it all work? Are there payments for sessions etc? I know nothing....

Re:Introduce yourself! - 13:40 18 May 05 2 quid at Camberley Arena. 5pm Saturdays... just turn up. Let us know who you are though...

I also visit the sessions with Mike, so I may have seen you up there depending on what you're up to.

There are a few people based all around the place, so keep your eyes open for other skaters. Myself and timo and in Reading and off for a bit of hockey tonight, weather permitting. Next week I hope to be in London for the WNS...

Re:Introduce yourself! - 15:18 18 May 05 Ooh thank you very much for the info there. £2 squid really isn't much at all! I shall definitely bring my "posé" then. You can't miss us - we're like the 3 amigos! My younger brother is taller than me with mid-length hair and I have curly hair!

Might pop along next month in that case.

Cheers!

Re:Introduce yourself! - 22:14 18 May 05 In Camberley...

Get toe the whopping great roundabout with M&S on it. head to Camberely town centre. Keep an eye on the right and you can't miss it - it is sign posted but there's a patch of grass and quite a wide low building. If you'd rather, I'm happy to meet you guys somewhere on the way in (I come round that roundabout too), say at M&S or Tesco, and you can follow me. Will require some cunning organisation though. Where would you be coming from?

Update on prices - £2 for the hour's lesson (8.30 - 9.30)and £2.80 for the freeskate session which is just short of 2 hours (9.30 -11.20). So for less than a fiver, you've got the whole morning

Hope this helps.
