What is the difference between marketing and lying? Not a lot.

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 10th August 2008 - 21:30 14 Mar 08 Has anyone shown an interest in the 100k race yet? I wouldn't mind having a crack at it (he said from the luxury of a warm house and comfy chair!). Thing is though, there's only five hours to complete it which means a minimum average speed of 12.5mph - for 5 hours! Perhaps I'm underestimating my ability (if I have any!) but isn't this a big ask for anyone who isn't super fit?

What would be considered a respectable time for a 100k skate?

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 10th August 2008 - 23:29 14 Mar 08 I think the INline 111 (in switzerland) is done in about 4.5 hours?? I'd expect about 4 hours at Goodwoodwood, depending on conditions... ! Skate Monkey !

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 10th August 2008 - 15:30 15 Mar 08 Yeah, I'm starting to think that me may be tight on time but we'll see how it goes. A longer race was requested last year but we may not have people sign up as I believe we are one week away from a big 111km race that people normally attend. Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 10th August 2008 - 12:14 16 Mar 08 I spoke to the guy who runs ESP (skateshop in Chichester) last night. I'll take some flyers across to him as soon as all the registration details are up and running on the website. He has already heard there is a longer race, so news of the event is out and about.

I'll also try and get some to AlleyOop (skateshop in Worthing), Southsea Skate Park and Arun (Bognor) Skate Club roller disco. My wife will put up posters at Chichester College.

I will do this once registration is opon, because I am concerned tha people will only look to register once and if they can't do it immediately may not come back
