Attitudes to Skaters - 17:19 17 Nov 04 Do you get any anti-skating abuse when out and about?

I've been fairly lucky so far with only a couple of shouted comments from kids a long way away but I've heard of local Chavs giving skaters a hard time and also one instance of an old boy accusing a mate of turning the area into a slum because he was skating on his own street!?!

I'm interested to know what the local feeling is towards the skate crowd... Jagshemash!

Re:Attitudes to Skaters - 17:52 17 Nov 04 well we get the occassional chav shouting from a car " don't fall over!" or "skaterboi" but nothing agressive, unless i come in to conflict with a cyclist!

i have mainly had looks of shock, or surprise, theres nothing better than skating down Camberley High Street at mid day, the surface isn't good but the looks you get make it worth it!!

Re:Attitudes to Skaters - 23:05 17 Nov 04 Yeah, It started to really piss me off last summer skating all over Camberley, Blackwater, Sandhurst, Bagshot. it was the white van drivers that seemed to be the worst shouting things out as they sped past.
