Roller Stroll - 21:59 26 Jun 05 Hi, went on the Roller Stroll today with Red, it was a one way trip to Wimbledon, didn't see any wombles though

Red has endured just about every bad surface a skate could throw at her today , including a very steep hill, and Red coped very well, the music was good too.

And special thanks to Drakey for staying with me - even though the rear marshall was infront of me atleast twice !

It was a hot skate, but I enjoyed every minute. It certainly challenged me. As Drakey said, we encountered almost every type of terrain. I particularly liked the hill of death - AKA Swaffield Road SW18, it will live with me forever. The number of people who fell-over around me was awesome. !! I just rested on my brake and took my time. I even got a well done from one of the marshalls - so am doubly chuffed. It was then that I noticed that those who fell-over had no brakes - so I'm sticking with mine forever now.

Best feeling ever - I grinned all the way home. I never imagined I would be out on the streets, always thought I'd be a park skater. So, it just goes to show, there's life in the ol'gal yet !
