Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 08:13 09 Apr 09 Nothing to do with stickers, but my wife has offered to put posters up at Chichester College - not too difficult as she works there. Don't know why I didn't think of it before.

I am also going to Eastbourne next Saturday (18th April) for Tim Wheals Streetwise course. I'll give out some more flyers. Is Loco Skates in Eastbourne on your list for sending flyers and posters to? If I get a chance I can drop in there as well.

It would be interesting (to me at least) to see some statistics of where entrants came from and where they heard about the event.

I have also been putting the word out at work and my running club that I have entered the double marathon and want sponsorship. Everybody is quite positive so I am looking forward to lots of names on my sponsorship form.

We could also snip them into singles and sell them at Goodwood.

Is Loco Skates in Eastbourne on your list for sending flyers and posters to? If I get a chance I can drop in there as well.It is on our list be we won't be doing the poster packs until May time as we imagined posters would only stay up for two months which means they would all be taken down way before the event. Feel free to drop some in if you are passing.

It would be interesting (to me at least) to see some statistics of where entrants came from and where they heard about the event.I do give this information out at the meetings but it's a bit much to put in the minutes or put online (also privacy concerns). If you PM me your e-mail address again I'll make you up a PDF with this information. It won't be top of my list though I'm afraid.

As for stickers, people don't open/read their stater packs anyway but having them available on the day I think is definitely a good idea.

The ESP guy commented that a couple of years ago he heard quite late on about Goodwood 2007, and by the time people saw the details you were into the next level of charging.

Dont let my dropping the flyers in stop you sending more in May.

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 14:02 09 Apr 09 Yes. That was two years ago when we didn't know what we were doing and your right we did send them late, we organised the entire event late compared to this year! All of this is discussed in the meetings to get the perfect date to send the packs out, it's a lot of work for us to waste it and get it wrong!

You won't stop us sending sending the packs out though, they are already made by our lovely Sapphire.

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 19:47 13 Apr 09 Handed out some fliers at Dorney this afternoon. There's always skaters there, and none of the skaters I saw were aware of the event.

If anyone else goes to Dorney please take fliers with you.

Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 20:33 13 Apr 09 Oh there are still LOADS of people that don't know about it yet! I met a skater yesterday that lived in Blackwater but didn't know about the Arena Sessions or Goodwood!

Keep up the fantastic advertising everyone
