Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 19:47 19 Apr 09 I went to Eastbourne yesterday and handed out a dozen flyers, including some to roller hockey players who seemed up for it.

I also gave out some to the people on my skate course. At least 3 definites and a few probably.

I did not get to Loco Skates, so you will need to send some by mail

I have also given some to a friend who will ensure they get to Southsea Skate Park and Gosport Ice Rink.

Apparently having to use rubber tips on the ski poles is an issue that stops more of them from joining us. They think it is imposed for safety reasons but my understanding is that it is a requirment of the track owners.

Many many e-mails have been sent on this issue including having the Chairman of the London Region Nordic Ski Club visit Goodwood to plead their case but they won't budge
