Re:Goodwood Roller Marathon - 9th August 2009 - 21:35 23 Feb 09 Hmmm, that's a bit like asking how hard it is to learn the yoyo

I think skating hard is about half as hard as running so however hard you found running 5 miles will be the same as skating 10
There're some awesome films in the charts at the moment. How did I miss Ozombie? An Osama Bin Laden zombie movie! Or Strippers Vs Warewolves - Twitter Status

Kinda.. Speedwise thats been the case for me (I compare it by the fact I did the Reading running half-marathon a couple of years ago in about 2 h 10 ...then a few months later I skated Goodwood full marathon in oohh.... 2 h 10!)

In terms of aerobic effort and aftermath aches and limping I found Reading a whole world above and beyond in terms of pain and suffering. Do Goodwood

Having done marathons and half marathons at both distances I'd agree with that. The pushing bit is similar to the running bit, but you can stop pushing on skates and keep moving. Stop moving yourlegs when running and...

And you certainly won't hit the wall doing a skate marathon.

I certainly hit the wall doing London 2 Brighton but I admit that was not a marathon distance There're some awesome films in the charts at the moment. How did I miss Ozombie? It's all about the Ice cream and the burger van

As for L2B...doing 54 miles over hills on rough roads was definately the toughest skate I've ever done (even worse than the Le Mans hill!)
